Chiesa di San Michele Arcangelo

The Church of San Michele Arcangelo is a significant example of architecture that has undergone profound transformation over the centuries.

Founded on an 11th-century Romanesque structure, it has undergone numerous restorations that have altered its original appearance.

The façade features distinctive architectural elements, such as round arches and a portal surmounted by a decorated lunette. The pediment is enhanced by a central rose window, flanked by two lateral single-lancet windows, elements that contribute to the interior lighting of the building.

The interior preserves several original architectural elements, including round arches and capitals, which bear witness to its ancient origin.

The church contains treasures of great historical and artistic value, including a beautiful baptismal font, an 18th-century statue of St Christopher, other precious wooden simulacra and an 18th-century organ in the sacristy.

Paintings by the local artist Antonio Mura are also housed within.
